Ou o Brasil está com poucos criativos de destaque, ou a organização brasileira do Festival de Cannes, a cargo do Estadão, está com pouca imaginação.
Dos 19 brasileiros convidados a participar do júri do Cannes Lions 2021, nada menos que sete, ou seja, quase 40%, já haviam sido convidados em versões anteriores do festival: Sergio Gordilho, Luciana Haguiara, Rafael Pitanguy, Keka Morelle, Marcelo Reis, Domenico Massareto e Luiz Sanches.
Das 28 premiações, inclusive, sete — 25% — sequer chegaram a ter qualquer brasileiro participando.
Aparentemente, a repetição pode ser pela busca que o evento faz de grandes marcas, o que acaba reduzindo a chance de representantes de agências médias participarem.
Segundo o comunicado oficial, são muitas as marcas globais representadas, incluindo: Nike Inc, Levi Strauss & Co, Diageo, IKEA, Mars Incorporated, Mondelez, Beats by Dr Dre, Uber, KFC, Oatly, Squarespace, ByteDance KK, Nestlé e Esopo.
Como plataformas e empresas de entretenimento, estão no júri Twitter, Facebook, Netflix, YouTube, Disney +, Spotify, Google, Twitch, juntamente com NBCUniversal, Vivendi, Universal Music Group, Columbia Records e Warner Music Central.
E de agências especializadas e independentes estão Quiet Storm, Above & Beyond, Stink Studios, Futerra e Tech and Soul, no meio de redes globais como McCann, Ogilvy, Publicis, BBDO, VMLY & R e Dentsu.
De qualquer forma, os jurados do Brasil e do mundo, este ano, não terão a alegria de participar da grande festa que é o festival na cidade francesa. Todo o evento desta vez, por conta da pandemia, será virtual.
